I am unsure if it was because we had just spent two nights in the painful, sweltering heat of the jungle (45 degrees Celsius) with no air conditioning and anything with an air conditioner would have made us happy, but we loved this place the instant we arrived! We were welcomed by a delicious jamaica juice welcome drink and a very friendly lady at reception. We were surprised to learn that there was a complementary 1-hour boat ride on the lake every day at 16:45 and that the temazcal (sauna) was also included in the price of the accommodation. The property grounds included a wonderfully kept garden and open grass area by the lakeside as well as a forested area where we say monkeys, squirrels, hummingbirds, iguanas, etc. The gardener Martin was very friendly and saw that we were interested in seeing wildlife, so he pointed out the monkeys (called "bonitos") and told us the local names of the birds and even treated us to some fish seeding. It seems that the stale bread from the restaurant is used to feed the fish at the lake every morning. There were hundreds, if not thousands, of hungry fish gobbling up the bread that we threw into the lake, The room itself was heaven - a beautiful view from the balcony, air conditioning, and a lot of space. We were told at reception that internet was not available in the rooms, but we were surprised to find a network with a very strong, stable, and fast internet connection. This worked out perfectly for me as I was able to work comfortably inside the air conditioned room. There was a table provided in the room, which I turned into my desk. All but one person working at the hotel (a male at reception) were very friendly, from reception staff to restaurant staff, to the gardener. The food at the restaurant is pricey, but good. Note that there really isn't a choice nearby, so you are stuck with the hotel restaurant unless you have your own transport or would like to shell out money for tuk tuks.

what i loved is location. i loved the view from balcony. room was normal. food at the restaurant was good. had pool and some kind of gym. receptionist speaks in english very close to tikal temples. what i loved the most is the nature! it was the best hotel for me because of the nature! those laud monkeys at night and day was soooo coool! as well, the dream of all my life came trough and i saw toucans! woke up with the sunrise and went to walk around the territory, its huge! lots of nature! and stayed by the lake, listened to the sounds of jungles, watched birds, nature etc. it was amazing amazing experience! thank you!

The things I liked about the hotel was the beds were comfortable to sleep in, the pool was clean, and the lake was a perfect place to relax and enjoy the sound of the exotics birds and animals. I recommend going to the Sauna. The Sauna is a unique room and its relaxes your mind and body. Also the staff are are kind and provide excellent customer service. They work really hard to make the customers feel comfortable and welcome. The food they serve for breakfast and dinner are tasty and organic. I will definitely recommend people to stay at this hotel. It looks fancy with a low budget price:

The property was beautiful but the rooms the patio door got stuck, and also no directory on how to call for service, The front desk weren’t very nice ,also the waiter at the Restaurant with a white shirt was very rude and there was no internet to process my credit card it was very annoying. Prices also are too high on food. also swimming pool are needs to be clean and forbid the use of glass bottles and cups very dangerous.

The location in a natural reserve with a private beach is exceptional. The facilities are very well kept and staff go above and beyond to make your stay in the hotel and experience in Peten a trip to remember. Kevin Guerra from the reception orgsnized fantastic tours for my family, the service providers were excellent.
